Opening Questions

• What stood out to you in the sermon? 
• What insights did you gain?

Read Luke 24:1-35

Disappointment and Doubt

• In verse 21, the disciples say, “We had hoped…” — What does this reveal about their mindset? 
• Can you relate to a moment when you felt let down by God or confused about his plan?

Jesus Walks With Us

• Even though they didn’t recognize Him, Jesus was walking with them. What does this say about His character?
• Have you ever realized after the fact that Jesus was with you in a hard season?

Recognizing Jesus

• Why do you think they recognized Him when He broke the bread?
• What are some practices or moments in your life that help you become more aware of Jesus’ presence?

Reversal of the Curse

• The sermon compared this meal to the one in Genesis 3. How does Jesus reverse the effects of sin in this story?
