Schweitzer Missions

WE CARE FOR OUR GLOBAL COMMUNITY

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
At Schweitzer Church, we want to be open to sharing with and learning from God’s people, locally and globally. We seek to have a global missions mindset, knowing that God is moving and working in all parts of the globe. We use Acts 1:8 as a foundation for caring for communities near and far.

Partner OrganizationS

As we connect with people across the street and around the globe, we seek to draw people closer to Jesus by meeting their physical and spiritual needs. Schweitzer intentionally seeks opportunities to partner with individuals and organizations who share the same vision. We currently work with Rainbow Network and Amazon Outreach.
Based in Springfield, the Rainbow Network seeks to build up communities in rural Nicaragua through authentic, Christ- Centered relationships. Schweitzer’s partnership with Rainbow Network provides an outlet for serving and supporting Nicaraguan communities tackling obstacles related to physical and spiritual poverty.

Amazon Outreach began in 1999. After taking several mission trips to Brazil, a small group of short-term missionaries (people very similar to you) developed a passion for sharing Jesus with the villagers along the Amazon River Basin in Brazil.

Monthly MIssions Focus

Each month, we encourage our church community to learn more about another area of the world. We ask you to join us in prayer for this area.

THIS MONTH'S FOCUS IS:
MALAWI

With a population of 21,368,000, this nation has over 2 million unreached people.
We ask for prayer for the People of Malawi and the missionaries serving in this nation.
