CARE MINISTRY

WE CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER

As we care for our community, we care for those who call Schweitzer home.  Our Care Ministry team is here for you in times of celebration, times of sorrow and all of the times in between. If you would like to request a visit, or would like to help care for others, please reach out to Pastor Sheila by phone at 417-881-6800 or by email at spippin@schweitzer.church. You can also request a visit by using the form at the bottom of this page.

 HOSPITAL VISITS

We have an incredible team of lay leaders and pastors who visit and pray for those who are in the hospital or rehab.

HOME VISITS

We have several friends who are unable to join us in-person. Our Home Visiting team stays in touch with these friends on a regular basis.

LIFE CHALLENGES

Life offers many challenges, and our Life Challenge Team provides classes and seminars to provide encouragement for a variety of real-life issues, including relationships and grief.

PORCH ANGELS
& GREEN TEAM

Our "angels" deliver special gifts to our friends who can't be with us to remind them that they are loved. Our Green Team helps to care for our campus gardens and flower beds.

SNAIL MAIL
MINISTRY

We have an amazing group of people who create handmade cards, or who write special notes of love and encouragement to our church friends.

 HOSPITALITY TEAMS

We are a church that joins together to honor the lives of those dearly loved. Our Celebration of Life/Funeral Hospitality Teams host receptions and luncheons for families in their time of bereavement and welcome those attending services.

Pastor Sheila Pippin

Sheila Pippin serves as Schweitzer's Care Ministries Pastor. She supports the church by overseeing all areas of Care Ministry. If you would like to be part of any of the teams above, please reach out. Additionally, if you have an idea for how we can care for our community in new ways, we'd love to hear more.
