ALPHA

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of conversations about things we all question in life: Why do bad things happen to good people? What's the purpose of life? What's next?

In a world of isolation, anonymity, and keyboard-warriors, Alpha is a space for honest and open conversations about life’s biggest questions. Everyone is welcome and no questions are off limits. If you're looking for a judgment-free space to ask hard questions and share your own opinion, there's a place for you.

We will host several Alpha sessions at Schweitzer this fall - including Alpha Youth in Student Ministry on Wednesday Nights at 6:30 p.m.

Our Alpha team will host a new session for adults at Neighbor's Mill (on 1435 E Independence St.) beginning Thursday, September 26 at 5:30 p.m. You can let us know to expect you or just show up.

What Can I expect?

FIRST UP, THERE'S FOOD
We know food has a way of bringing people together, and we use that to help ease everyone into the night. Good food can be a great conversation starter, and that's what we're all about.

THEN, A TALK...
This can seem kind of dull, but rest assured, it's anything but. Alpha will include video teachings that are designed to engage and inspire conversation. They explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity.

FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSION
Probably the most important part of the meetings is the chance to share thoughts and ideas on a topic and discuss it in a small group. There's no obligation to say anything, and there's nothing you can't say. It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, safe and open environment.
