Pittman Parntership
One way we care for our community is by supporting Pittman Elementary's students, teachers, and staff. During the school year, we hold school supply drives, host a Christmas market, and encourage people to get involved as reading buddies or mentors as part of our new grandparenting ministry (GPS), which provides a free Parent's Night Out for Pittman Students each month. GPS: PARENTS NIGHT OUT
Each month, we will host a free parents' night out for kids who attend elementary school. Our Parents Night Out events take place on the second Thursday of each month. Please register below to let us know you are coming; this will help us have enough food and supplies for activities.
BACK TO SCHOOL
For the 2024-25 school year, the people of Schweitzer Church donated supplies for all students at Pittman Elementary. These bags were given to 250 students in August on back-to-school night.

READING BUDDIES
Several individuals from Schweitzer serve as Reading Buddies throughout the year. Additionally, we seek out ways to encourage the teachers and staff. Sylvia Speight and Cheryll Moll help with the coordination of projects and the Reading Buddies.
